Bluetooth & Katana... Connects but no communication.?
My Plantronics Voyager 510 was working fine with my Sanyo Katana until I used my headset with my new IOGEAR bluetooth USB dongle. Now when I try using the 510 with my Katana, it pairs fine but the sound comes out of the cellphone and not the headset. I've tried everything to make sure the phone would go in hands-free mode but it simply won't do it. I tried the 510 with another cellphone and it connects fine so the problem is not with the headset. I did delete the device (510) and "re-discovered" the headset which went fine but the end result is the same. I get the green bluetooth icon on the phone indicating it found the headset but I do not get the green icon indicating communication between the phone and headset. Any idea what is going on here?
Once you pair the two devices, tyr and listen through your headset if it is ringing it means that it wants to connect to your phone. press the receive botton on your headset.
